Hope

Every day,

I see the same faces

in and out of hospital.

Every day,

they greet me with

a smile and a

friendly word.

These people,

despite everything,

find hope.

Find happiness.

They don't give in

to the beast of

sickness.

But instead,

they fight.

They fight pain

with hope.

They fight fear

with love.

They don't complain,

but rather find

reasons to laugh,

reasons to fight,

reasons to hope.
